1969 Red CT-90 K1

This is a 1969 "true K1" CT-90. I make that distinction because later in 1969, Honda switched to a different configuration that is often referred to as a "K1b," and this bike is not that.

Note that the chrome rack is not present, and instead there's a "buddy seat" and extra set of pegs that were a popular option. Note also that this bike does have the "wrap" downtube cover that all bikes of that era should have. It snapped onto itself after you wrapped it around the tube.

A feature you'll see for several more years is that there are two brake levers, and a foot pedal for braking. The left handlebar lever is not a clutch, it activates the rear brake, so you could stop with either the left hand or the right foot. This feature disappeared off later bikes in the 1970s.

Another important note: CTs of this era did, indeed, have different-sized tires. The front is a 2.5x17, the rear (noticeably fatter) is a 2.75x17. While you could put a 2.75x17 up front, it often rubbed and damaged the inside of the front fender.
